Notes: Uncle Jeff was recovering from the ocean surf and a jet-way lifestyle. Lucky Vagabond Danny showed up to lead him through the obstacles. Today's hot trak is Sittin' Home Prayin' by Bobby Lord. Lord's trill vocals, pertinent lyrics and walking beat was as fresh as the day it was released back in 1955 and featured Don Helms on steel guitar. Helms was an important sideman on steel for such artists as Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn. He passed on August 14th. R.I.P.

As you regulars know, nothing is linear on Route 78 West and today's show stuck to, well... nothing in particular. As Jeff remarked, "We actually have a plan and it's coming together." It finally did as we sat munching burgers on Mustard's Last Stand patio and pondered another migration of students to Boulder for the fall semester. Jeeze, happy smilie young minds staring at us old geezers, not knowing just how much we know about music, the local scene and producing real radio for mortals.

Check the Denver/Boulder concert scene.

See you next week.
