Notes: The Autumn Equinox is here. Time for Indian Summer's bonus to prepare for Winter. I await the smell of cottonwood smoke, kerosene tinged workshops and zen quiet. For now I'm shaping gaint slabs of flagstone with a chisel for my new patio and blare this show on my portable radio.

Today's hot trak is Judy Blue Eyes cause it took me toward a grand memory. Almost as sweet was Cold Candian Love (X-ray eyes), which I mistook for Ryan Adams till I read the playlist. This is a must download for NY freaks (like me). As Ukulele Loki puts it, "... playing a slice of history." Take Uncle Jeff's advice, "Squirel away some morsels (Chrome Dreams) for the future."

Jesse Sykes October 18th at the Fox and October 19th at the Larimer Lounge. DeVotchKa performs with the Yard Dogs Road Show October 27th at the Fillmore. Neil Young, November 5 & 6 at the Wells Fargo Theatre. Iron And Wine, December 8, 2007 at the Paramount Theatre.

I lie in wait for the Milkman.
