Notes: I sense Uncle Jeff 's edginess is subsiding. He's been hibernating in a deep, dark mountain mine-shaft since December surviving on tequila and movies-by-mail. Any sort of rumble in the night disturbs him. He ventures out only when necessary. Today he finally felt warm sunlight on his face. Meat cooking over hot coals sparked his optimism. Winter is dying. Uncle Jeff is in his lawn-chair planning travels, telling stories and barbecuing. Ukulele Loki is concocting his next extravaganza of music and mischief. Idle minds are not allowed in the room.

The music goes on. Traks by Bellingham, Washington's Chuckanut Drive suggest their new CD, The Crooked Mile Home, is a good one. Today's show included plenty of the old Western standbys, Surf and speckles of movie samples. Everything you have come to expect on Sunday mornings. Harlem Nocturne by the Star Tones is today's hot trak. Thanks for the mid-show brownie delivery!

Post show SXSW conversation around the Weber grill. Nothing like a late winter picnic combined with Boulder culture and Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Milkman call home.
