Notes: A promo tune by Halden Wofford & The High Beams was the first trak to stand out in this show. Haunting fresh vocals, "...waiting for someone to come back from where they have gone..." replaced the familiar Wofford sound and I like it. Stay tuned to find out when their new CD will be released.

The next set contained some nice but underplayed and unknown tunes... Jimmy Work's, "Pickup Truck", Roy Hogsed's, "Hot Rod" followed by a kick ass Duane Allman like instrumental (my favorite trak of the show and I missed the vitals), "I Don't Care About You" and the surf trak "The Endless Summer." I've re-listened to this set many times and I'm still not bored. Good stuff.

How can I describe the Fahey trak... blues, flamenco, ballad? I hear tidbits of sounds coming from "The Great San Bernardino Birthday Party" which remind me of Duane Allman, Leo Kottke, CSNY and Pure Prairie League. It's unmistakable to me and I wonder why it took so long for me to hear this tune.

Get ready for Richmond Fontaine & Local 33, July 2nd at the Larimer Lounge. Also, J.J. Cale at the Boulder Theater, July 8.

As usual adult beverages and conversation flowed at Tom's Tavern post show.
