The
Blue Sky Boys are a brother duet consisting of Earl Bolick and
Bill Bolick from East Hickory, North Carolina. They began performing in
1935 and first recorded for RCA in 1936. The Blue Sky Boys play in the
Appalachian, Folk style and are known for their tight harmonies and religious
themes. Influential songs by The Blue Sky Boys include "Turn Your
Radio On," "Kentucky" and "Midnight on the Stormy
Sea." Their career spanned from 1935 to 1975. They recorded on the
RCA, Starday, and Rounder labels. Bear Family Records and Copper Creek
